By using XOLV, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. XOLV is operated by CYT MODEATS ENTERPRISE, a SSM-registered business in Malaysia.
1. About XOLV
XOLV is a peer-to-peer (P2P) local task marketplace that connects Employers (users who post tasks) with Workers/Takers (users who complete tasks) in exchange for monetary rewards. XOLV acts as a neutral platform and escrow intermediary — we do not perform any tasks ourselves.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use XOLV
You must be a Malaysian resident with a valid MyKad (Malaysian Identity Card)
You must complete identity verification (KYC) before posting or accepting tasks
You must not have been previously banned from the platform
3. Account & KYC Verification
All users must complete a 3-step identity verification process: MyKad front, MyKad back, and a real-time selfie. This is required for platform security and to protect all users. False or misleading KYC submissions will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to relevant authorities.
4. Escrow Payment System
XOLV operates a fund-secured escrow system:
When an Employer posts a task, the full reward amount is deducted from their wallet and held in escrow
Funds are only released to the Worker upon task completion and Employer confirmation
If a task is cancelled by the Employer before a Worker is hired, the full amount is refunded
In dispute cases, funds are held until resolved by XOLV administrators
5. Employer Responsibilities
Post accurate, clear, and legal task descriptions
Ensure sufficient wallet balance before posting a task
Respond to Worker applications within a reasonable time
Confirm task completion honestly — falsely refusing completion may result in account suspension
Not post tasks that are illegal, dangerous, or violate these Terms
6. Worker/Taker Responsibilities
Only accept tasks you are genuinely capable of completing
Fraudulent activity, identity theft, or impersonation
Harassment, threats, or abusive behaviour toward other users
Creating multiple accounts to abuse promotions or the rating system
Conducting transactions outside the platform to avoid escrow
Any activity that violates Malaysian law
8. Platform Fees
XOLV currently operates with no platform commission during our launch phase. Future fee structures will be announced with at least 30 days' notice. All fees, when introduced, will be clearly displayed before any transaction is confirmed.
9. Ratings & Reviews
After task completion, both parties may rate each other. Ratings must be honest and based on actual experience. Manipulating ratings (e.g., exchanging fake positive reviews) is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
10. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between an Employer and Worker:
Either party may file a dispute through the in-app SOS/dispute system
XOLV administrators will review evidence from both parties within 24-48 hours
The administrator's decision on fund release is final
XOLV reserves the right to refund or release escrow funds based on evidence reviewed
11. Limitation of Liability
XOLV is a marketplace platform and is not responsible for:
The quality, safety, or legality of tasks posted by users
Physical harm, property damage, or loss arising from task completion
Actions or conduct of any user on or off the platform
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the value of the specific transaction in dispute.
12. Account Termination
XOLV reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or poses a risk to other users or the platform. Users may also delete their own accounts at any time through the Settings page.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts. This platform complies with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) and the Consumer Protection Act 1999.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of XOLV after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of material changes via in-app notification.
